Oregon’s wide receiver depth took another hit on Friday as redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Brevard announced he’s entering the transfer portal.

The former four-star wide receiver played in every game this season for the Ducks on special teams as he continued to make an impact for the Ducks despite not carving a role on the team’s offense. Brevard recorded two tackles on special teams this year.

DuckTerritory.com confirmed Brevard’s addition to the NCAA Transfer Portal through a source familiar with the situation. On3.com was first to report the news.

In the 2021 Alamo Bowl against Oklahoma, Brevard recorded his first career catch for six yards. The Alamo Bowl was Brevard’s lone game during the 2021 season, utilizing his redshirt. Since then, Brevard has served as a backup X receiver behind Troy Franklin and Kris Hutson, who plays multiple receiver spots on the field.

Brevard, a member of the 2021 class, ranked inside the top 200 for the 247 Sports Composite and was the third-highest-ranked recruit from Mississippi.

Here is Brevard’s scouting report courtesy of 247 Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn: “Big frame with wide shoulders. Carries 200 pounds like 185. Has ability to play at 215. Uses length and size well against smaller defensive backs. Tracks ball well and has strong hands. High-points ball and is true red zone threat. Catches and secures football quickly. Has good feel for game. Instinctual player. Solid route runner. Willing blocker who works down field. Does little things and is unselfish. Decent speed. Must be more consistent with releases at line of scrimmage. Needs to explode out of breaks more consistently. Adding upper body strength important. Multi-year starter at Top 20 program. Day 3 NFL draft potential.
