The Portland Trail Blazers host the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday night in the second game of a back-to-back.

The Blazers have lost six consecutive games and after trading away CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, Larry Nance Jr and Robert Covington, defeating the Lakers does not appear to be likely.

For the rest of the season, it’s all bout developing the younger players such as Anfernee Simons, Greg Brown III, Trendon Watford and Keon Clark. The latter three are rookies.

Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony are out for the Lakers.

Lakers: Anthony Davis (right wrist; soreness) is probable; Dwight Howard (lower back; tightness), LeBron James (left knee; soreness/effusion) and Russell Westbrook (lower back; tightness) are questionable; Carmelo Anthony (right hamstring; strain), Sekou Doumbouya (G League – two-way), Mason Jones (G League – two-way) and Kendrick Nunn (right knee; bone bruise) are out.
