People for Portland’s spending tops $1 million as group ratchets up push on policing, homelessness, trash

A well-funded and largely anonymous advocacy group has so far spent more than $1 million pushing Portland-area elected leaders to take urgent action on policing, homelessness and other livability concerns, newly released records show.

People for Portland disclosed it dropped $592,702 in the three months ending Dec. 31, according to city lobbying reports obtained Thursday by The Oregonian/OregonLive.
