Nyckoles Harbor’s looming decision adds to Signing Day 2023 intrigue at Oregon, South Carolina
Five-star 2023 athlete Nyckoles Harbor, the highest-rated uncommitted player left on the board, decides Wednesday on National Signing Day with the expectation it’s Oregon or South Carolina for the 6-foot-5, 225-pound speedster from Washington, D.C. Harbor is the No. 15 overall player in the 2023 cycle and No. 1 athlete. Michigan and Maryland also remain in pursuit.
The Ducks have a chance to crack the 247Sports top-five team rankings nationally if they land Harbor and four-star Rodrick Pleasant, another top-end playmaker who’s eyeing Oregon or USC. The Gamecocks signed six five-stars in program history and Harbor would arguably be South Carolina’s biggest recruiting coup since landing Jadeveon Clowney, the No. 1 overall player, in the 2011 cycle.
Harbor is a two-spot star and plans to run in the 2024 Olympics. The renowned track programs at Oregon and South Carolina, respectively, is a major factor in Harbor’s pending decision, along with NIL deals, according to several 247Sports recruiting insiders.
Here’s what media members are saying ahead of Harbor’s announcement.
