HOUSTON – After an impressive road win at rv/rv Oregon on Sunday and the Thanksgiving holiday, the University of Houston Men’s Basketball program returns to action when it meets Kent State at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, inside the Fertitta Center.

For the first time since February 1984, the Cougars rank among the nation’s Top-Two in both the Associated Press and USA TODAY Sports Coaches polls.

Houston enters their lone game this week following a gritty, 66-56 win at rv/rv Oregon on Sunday night. Freshman guard Terrance Arceneaux came off the bench to pour in a career-high 15 points, including eight straight points in the first half, while junior point guard Jamal Shead added a season-high 13 points with four assists and no turnovers in more than 35 minutes.
